Breaking Down the First Page of your NEP Bill
Your NEP bill may include different line items depending on the services your community has selected. But one thing is always consistent: the electricity usage recorded in your unit is billed based on actual meter readings, and NEP guarantees that those metered charges will never exceed what the local utility would have charged for the same usage.
The rest of your bill may vary depending on what services your community has chosen for NEP to manage. To make things simple, we’re breaking down the different versions of NEP bills so you’ll always know exactly what you’re looking at.
The Snapshot at the Top
On the top left, you’ll see your name and address. On the top right, you’ll find account details: your account number, the invoice date (the day you received the bill), your due date, the community billing cycle, the total amount due, and the late payment amount if applicable. Think of this as the quick overview before the detailed breakdown below.
Where Bills Can Differ
As you move down the page, your bill may look a little different depending on the services your community has chosen.
Example 1: Community bills for water, electric, and community charges (including common area usage, or CAU).
Example 2: Community bills for water and electric.
Example 3: Community bills for electric only.
This section breaks down your total charges so you can see how the final amount was calculated.
Understanding Your Usage Graphs
Below the itemized charges, you’ll find usage graphs that reflect your water and/or electric consumption. These graphs show your current and previous read dates so you can see how your usage changes over time. The visual comparison makes it easy to spot seasonal trends, such as higher electricity use in the summer when air conditioning is running more often. The graphs at the bottom of the bill break down your usage so you can see how the final amount was calculated.

Example 2: Graph for electric only
This wraps up the first page of your NEP bill—the section that gives you a snapshot of your account, outlines your current charges, and helps you track your usage over time.
